Tourist residence in Turkey

Tourist residency entitles the foreigner to be present and stay in Turkey for the period specified in its card, which is given to the foreigner from the branch of the Immigration Department in the region in which he resides. This period usually ranges from one month to two years. It is renewable under its own conditions.

And the foreigner who holds this card has the right to leave Turkey and return to it within its period without the need for a new visa.

In order to renew the residence permit, a renewal application must be submitted within the last two months. But if the residence period expires before submitting the renewal application, the presence of the foreigner in the country is considered illegal, and the renewal application is no longer accepted from him, but he must leave the country. He then has the right to return legally in order to apply for residency again.

Exceeding the residence period without submitting a renewal application may force the person to leave and prevent him from returning for a certain period, depending on the case.
